HB2U (happy birthday to you)

Happy Birthday to you Danna!  Follow a sketch, pick an image, grab some colors and go!  This funky birthday card was a breeze to make.  And, you gotta love purple!

This card image and sentiment are from the 'Robot Family' stamp set by Our Craft Lounge.
The die cuts are spellbinders and the border punch EK success.  Both the image and the sentiment are up on dimensionals.  Coloring is with copic markers.  The drops are 'inky dinky dewdrops'.  The ribbon and papers are from my stash.  A little dotting with a white ink pen and it is finished.

Our Furry Friends

Today is the start of the new challenge at  GingerLoft Challenges.  Every 2 weeks, a challenge, this time it is "Our Furry Friends", is posted.  Tami has lots of wonderful digital images available in her store.  There are freebies and digis for sale as well.  Go and visit GingerLoft designs, pick up an image and come and play.

This is Bentley.  He is a new image for Tami, and he is just adorable.  Can't you just see him trying to figure out how to get to that hive with the honey.  You know that little round body isn't going to be climbing that tree any time soon!  LOL
Bentley (the bear), the hive and the bees are all on dimensionals.  All of the diecuts are spellbinders, the coloring is copics.  The sponging is with Memento inks.  All papers, brads and ribbon are from my stash.
Bentley also has some Sparkley Fluff from Our Craft Lounge on him for the furry factor! The ribbon is actually dark blue, not black.

This card may be posted in the following challenges:

Crazy 4 Challenges:  Use die cuts
Paper Pretties:  Card for a child
Digital Tuesday:  Use die cuts
Stampin' Royalty:  Use markers
Cute Card Thursday:  Shiny, happy cards

One World, One Heart

Thanks to everyone that came by my blog, feel free to come by anytime.
This OWOH posting willl  remain on top of my blog until Feb. 17, 2011.  Please scroll down for my regular posts.  Or stay and check out OWOH.  A hop for bloggers to visit, connect and make friends with other bloggers (of any kind) from all over the world.
Welcome to my blog on the Oregon Coast.  I have been blogging for a little more than a year and this is where I post my attempts at cards making (and occassionally scrapbooking).
I am an ER nurse (20years) and spent 5 years as a traveling nurse.  This gave me the chance to take literally hundreds of photos.  That was the start of scrapbooking.(had to do something with all those pics)! LOL
As the traveling stopped, cardmaking fill the gap for my creative needs.  I always seem to have had something artistic I was trying to do.  Cardmaking has turned out to be the artistic love of my life.
I don't have any particular style that I prefer to work in.  I love to go blog hopping and try different techniques and styles.  Some stick, some don't but there is a world out there and I want to try as much as I can.  I have been married for almost 30 years, have 2 grown sons-one a pilot and one in school to become a nurse.  My husband is retired and takes wonderful care of me.  When able, we love to hop on our Harleys (motorcycles) and visit all of the places in driving distance that we even think we might enjoy.
Someday, I would also like to retire and be able to travel the world with my husband.  (although, I really, really like the warm, warm tropical places!  LOL)

Please feel free to browse through my blog (click on the header to go to the latest posting), look at my art and leave comments if interested.  I would love to have you sign up as a follower if my blog is interesting to you, no strings attached (and not required).  I have a group of 6 various cards that I will be giving to one visitor. The only real rule is that you must have an active blog.  I will add another set of 6 cards if we go over another 100 visitors.  Please leave a comment at the end of this posting, including a way to reach you.  I will random draw after this event have the package mailed to the winner the week following the completion.
I will mail anywhere in the world so please enter.......I will be visiting every blog that comments on here, signing on to follow those that truely interest me, and leaving comments for the giveaways! DUH, LOL.
Enjoy.

Use a button, use a bow.........

Our Craft Lounge is  having an embellishment challenge this week, 'Use a button, Use a bow'........
Isn't it easy?  Just remember, you have to use an OCL image if you want to be elidgible for their prize.

I have a friend going through a rough spot and having to "wear her big girl panties" for awhile.  I couldn't think of a better card to make or stamp set to use than this granny one.
Isn't this stair step 'dresser' card just too cute.  I learned how to make this buy following the instructions on this you-tube video.
All the images were stamped on neenah white cardstock, colored with copics, cut out and glued onto the stairstep card.  The stamping, sponging and sentiment were all stamped using Memento inks.
The ribbon is MS, the button and heart brads from my stash.
The border punch is an EK success punch.
This card may be entered in the following challenges:
Our Craft Lounge:  Use buttons, use bows......
Do You Stack Up:  Ribbon
Flourishes Timeless Tuesday:  Button
Tuesday Throwdown:  Buttons
Stampavie and  More:  Buttons & Lace
Craft us Crazy:  Anything Goes
Paper Sundaes:  2 or more images
