Ain't No Sunshine when you're Gone............

This project is a winner at 'Moving Along with the Times!
Sorry this is late, had to go out of town unexpectedly but,  I'M BACK!!!
Fresh Brewed Designs is looking for song inspirations!  I had this song stuck in my head for days after making this card set!  LOL.   Oh no.......I'm hearing it again!
Yah, a little on the bright side but it's what came together when I did the FBD image.  All of the coloring is with copic markers.

Rainy Day Butterfly is just too cute!

Then it needed a box.  Some measuring, a little cutting, a little scoring and TADA!
The amazingly bright green matches the color of the flower stem and leaf on the cards.
Next came a band to hold the whole thing together.  This was punched with a MS border punch on both sides of an inch and a half strip of paper.  The ribbon is from my stash (JoAnne's I think).  The emblem on the front is a spellbinder die, folded in half.  The front tip slips under the border on the bottom of the box to help keep it shut. (actually stays shut without the band, I just liked it!)
The border on the bottom and the folded sides is another MS border punch.

The button, bling and papers are from my stash, makers unknown :(
Makes for a great 'I miss you' card set.
This project may be entered in the following challenges:
Fresh Brewed Designs:  Inspired by a song (DT)
Totally Stampalicious:  Anything goes
Lollipoo Crafts:  Inspired by a song
A Spoon Full of Sugar:  Splish-splash
Flutterby Wednesdays:  Orange, green and pink
Stampavie:  Butterflies

Moving Along with the Times:  Inspired and named for a song
Southern Girls:  Anything goes

A babies butt

There is just something to cute about a babies butt.   can remember my boy running around the house, bare ass naked and making me laugh til I cried!  Wearing mommy's and daddy's shoes is another right of passage.  These wonderful stamps by DigiDoodle.  I won these stamps from a challenge that Digidoodle was sponsering!
Anyway, both of my neighbors son's (twins) had babies (well, their wives had the babies!) in the last 3 months and I thought that the baby girl image was so appropriate for what they are going to be seeing and going through in the near future.  And, since I am doing the baby girl digi, I had to do the baby boy one also!
The coloring is all copics an the papers are from Creative Memories.  Not only did I win the stamps, I won a "romance" pack of papers and sentiments from CM at an all day crop that I went to in May!  Too much fun.
The flowers and shirred ribbon are from my stash.

This image is also colored with copics.  All the paper and goodies are from my stash.  The sentiment is from Ginger's House.  Made me laugh.  Definitely not one of the excuses that my boy's used but only because they didn't think of it!  I made this card to enter in the StampTV challenge last week for texture.
All die cuts are nesties and the sponging is memento inks.

These cards are entered in the following challenges:
CR84FN:  Light pink, medium green, neutrals as main colors  (See girl card)
Aly's Sunday Challenge:  All about kids
The Shabby Tea Room:  Pink, green, neutrals and flowers (See girl card)

New Release-Blog Hop-It's Fresh Brewed Designs!

Heather at Fresh Brewed Designs is on a roll!  She has a new release that we are show casing in a special blog hop - just for you.  First, the boring stuff (rules, ugh!)
We are doing things differently this month.
We are having a one (well 2) stop hop every day this week starting today and ending on Saturday, June 11.
On Saturday all of the images will be in the shop and there will be a special post for you to comment on. If you participate every day and follow the rules, you will have a chance to win all 4 digis that are being released!  You must comment on the blog and EACH  DT presenter, each day to be in the running for the prize on Saturday.
Each day, go to the FBD blog, check out what Heather has to say and then follow the link to the DT member who is doing the showcase for that day.  If you come to us in the middle of the week, no problems!  Just go to Tuesday's post and start there.  As long as all the comments are in by Saturday at midnight, you are still eligible for Heathers wonderful giveaway!

Now, for the fun stuff.  Did you see the wonderful card that Linda did yesterday.  Gave me the 'shivers'!  LOL
Who knew how cute a bunch of elephants could be?  Heather did!  She gave each of us a new digi (they will be in the store on Saturday) to work with.  Amazingly cute and talented elephants, just waiting to grace your cards, scrapbook layouts and 3D projects!  If you have checked out my blog, you know that I love, love, love the ocean.  Heather gave me the perfect image!
Isn't she adorable!  Her name is Babie Ellie Hula Dancer.  She looks like she is out for a fun day on the beach!  Just for a note, the ice cream cone and the palm tree are both rubber stamps for the FBD store
(So many of these stamps work together!)

Remember to go the to FBD blog tomorrow to check out the next step in our hop and see you all at the blog on Saturday to get in your final comment to become eligible to WIN!

Mocha Manic Monday

Fresh Brewed Designs is have Mocha Manic Monday again.  On the first Monday of each month, Heather posts a freebie in the store, available only on that day.  Use it to enter on of the several challenges that FBD runs each month.  Heather's images are so versatile (and cute!) you can find a way to make most of them work in one of her challenges.  While there, shop around, pick up some wonderful digi's or, if you are a rubber lover (almost sounds obscene, sorry) check out her rubber stamps.  Come and play with us this month!
And inside, the ages old saying...........
Images and sentiment from the mind of Heather at FBD.  Colored with copics on Neenah solar white cardstock.  Memento ink sponging on edges.  Scallop border with an EK success punch.
Ribbon from my stash, a gelly-roll clear-star glitter pen for sparkle, and Smooch spritz in vanilla shimmer to add the ice look to the ice cream!
The smaller cones are part of a 'beach accessory pack' available here.  Between the ice cream cone, the full beach bag and the sand castle, you can add the finishing touches to all your cards, projects and scrapbook pages!
Also, there is a great write up about Heather and Fresh Brewed Designs in the just published online edition of  ReadySetCreate!  Awesome!

Don't argue with the Wife!

Have you ever been in an arguement and known that no matter what you say, you aren't going to win or change the other persons mind?  Not happening?  Check this card out.....
and the perfect inside sentiment.....

Both the image and the sentiment are from 'Disguised as a Grown-up'
Marlene has an amazing, twisted, snarky sense of humor that I   LOVE !!!!
I go to her site every day, just on the chance that she has posted a freebie that will make me laugh out loud and inspire my next card.  Rarely does she miss a day.  Brilliant woman!
DP, ribbon and brads are from my scrapbasket.  Coloring is copics.  The flowers are handmade.
 Humor is all Marlene.
The lightbulb is just a hand cut and color piece.

Fresh Brew - It's a Guy Thing

This is my first post for Fresh Brewed Designs.  I am a guest DT for the summer months and
I AM EXCITED!  LOL.
Heather has a wonderful challenge blog (Fresh Brewed Challenges) with different challenges being posted all month long.  Today we are starting June off with "It's a Guy Thing".  Make a card or project for a guy and enter at Fresh Brewed Challenges.  You don't have to use a FBD image but we would love to see one (and it is worth a second entry)!
Go to the FBD store, do a little shopping and then get creative!  I made a gift card holder, just perfect for a
guy!
The Fresh Brewed Design digital stamp that I chose is called 'It's all Good".  Isn't that the truth!
The background is silver mirror card run through my diamond plate CB embossing folder.  Looks just like the metal on the tool box in the back of those work trucks that you see!
The whipped cream even has liquid applique stuff that puffs when you heat it.  Looks pretty real!
The "embellishments" in the lower left corner are some kind of washer  (I call them sprockets) from my local hardware store.  I can't make a card without some embellishment.  Ribbon and flowers didn't seem right!  hehe  The images are coloring with copic markers and layered onto a glossy black "table" top.

Inside has the same embossed mirror cardstock except for behind the gift card pocket.  That is left plain kraft card stock so there is somewhere to write.  The sentiment is from Create with TLC.  It is cut out with Spellbinders and placed on a glossy black matt.  Just add a coffee shop gift card and TaDa, you have a perfect gift for that hard to buy for guy. (They all love coffee!)
This card may be entered in the following challenges:
