Just Bummin'

Was just over in blogger land and checking out Marlene's site "Disguised as a Grown-up".
If you have a few minutes or just need a laugh, her site is the place to go!
Although I like todays freebie, I had one from earlier this summer that was already printed
and ready to be colored.

The image is colored with copic markers.  The border punch is MS.  The ribbons, buttons,
DP and brad are all from my stash.
The starfish is from a stamp set by 'Our Craft Lounge'.  The feet were
printed a second time and placed on the card with dimensionals.

Expresso my Thanks

Sorry, Mr. Blogger is letting me down.  I had this set to post (here and on FBD) while I had my new computer installed today.  Oh well........
Needed a thank you card.  What better time to 'expresso' my thanks!
Add that to the challenge on Fresh Brewed Designs this week which is to "Emboss it" and
I ended up with the following card.

The main image is from Fresh Brewed Designs and called 'Lotta Love'.   The little coffee cups are part of the backer stamp from some rubber I won in April.  The cute flower and the embossed brick wall are cut out with spellbinders dies.  I don't know where the sentiment or digital background paper came from. (sorry)  It is colored with copics and edges inked with distress inks.
The coffee cup wrapper is kraft paper run through my paper crimper.
Come on over to FBD and join in on the challenge.  You have until Midnight Tuesday night!

This card may be entered in the following challenges:
Fresh Brewed Designs:  Emboss it (DT card)
Cuddly Buddy:  Say something nice
Delightful Digis:  Use digital paper
Digistamps 4 Joy:  Handmade flower

Playing with a freebie!

What can be better than playing with a 'freebie'?!
That's the challenge over at GingerLoft Challenges for this 2 weeks.  We have taken a couple of
much needed weeks off and are back and raring to go.  Check out the beautiful cards the DT have
made (mine is just below), pick up the freebie for yourself and play along with us.
Don't forget to read what Tami has to say before posting your card, she a another freebie available
just by reading her comments and doing just one little thing........no...I'm not telling!  Go read it!  LOL
One last note, Tami is looking for a few good DT and it could be you!  This is one of the most laid back
DTs you can be on and Tami is amazingly generous with her digis.  If you want it, she gets it to you and
if she doesn't have it, she designs it for you!  Just put DT after your name on your entry if you are interested i
joining our happy crew.
Now, on to my card using this fortnights freebie........................
Not my best pic...sorry.  The cattails are soft and fluffy.  They have brown sparkly fluff on them.  Almost makes them feel real!  The addition of the white gel pen ripples in the water give the illusion of movement.

Today is my anniversary.  Although it is very feminine, this card says exactly how I feel about my DH!
Of course, he will get a  much more masculine card from me today!  This one will go to my son for him to give to his special girl.

This is a sentiment from the store at Fresh Brewed Designs.  I did this as a DT card for the current challenge which is "White on White with one other color".  You can play along until the next challenge gets posted on Wednesday.
The cardstock is Neenah solar white.  The ink is Memento tuxedo black and angel pink.

Sunbathing beach babe

Mr. Blogger has a job again this week.  Hopefully this is Friday as you are reading this!

This sweet little gift bag is even sweeter with this image from Fresh Brewed Designs.  She is called
'Sunbathing Beach Babe' and is from the summer release earlier this year.  The best part is, she is another stamp from FBD that I won in April!

She is stamped with Mememto ink on Neenah solar crest (x2), colored with copics and cut out.  The swimsuit is paper pieced and the front leg is cut out of the second print and put on with  a dimensional at the knee and ankle but directly on the paper at the hip. It is a great way to give depth to your image.
No idea where the sentiment came from and the ribbon is just from my stash.
The border punch is from EK Success.

See ya all when I get back from camping.....

This is a wonderful image from Fresh Brewed Designs called.......Banana Split!  LOL

It is colored with copics, sponging around the sentiments is Tim Holts distress inks.
The sentiments (outside and inside) are from Pauline at Create with TLC.
She also made the background paper!  Talk about some talent!
Some liquid embroidery stuff that puffs with heat for the whipped cream and some ribbon and bling from my stash finished it off.   Too cute!

Friday Beach Bums

Wishing I was getting some of that hot weather that the Central US is sweltering under!
The FBD rubber stamp that I won in May is a great go-to for a summer card.  'Beach Bums' is a wonderful and sassy image that just screams "Summer!""
I tried to play with some different, cooler, 'summer' colors with this card.
The papers and ribbon are all from my stash.  "Beach Bums" is stamped on Neenah solar crest using Memento tuxedo black ink.  She is colored with copic markers.
The sentiment is from Paulette at TLC.  Check her site out, it will quickly become your go to site for sentiments, papers and vintage images.  Most are free and lots in her store to chose from.
The die cuts are all Spellbinders dies and the bling is liquid pearls.  The card base is dry
embossed using a CuttleBug embossing folder.

Hot, hot, hot!

It's August and apparently, it is really, really hot - everywhere but here on the Oregon coast!  It is overcast and about 60 here.  My son called earlier today (from Oklahoma) and said it was 117 degrees!
Holy crap!
At Fresh Brewed Designs, our month-long challenge for August is "Hot, hot hot!"
This is a FBD rubber stamp image called "Cordelia in the sand".  Isn't she hot (and just a little sexy!)
She is stamped with memento tuxedo black ink & colored with copics.  The background page is brayered with memento inks, some copic shading and a white gel pen on the water for texture.  The DP is DCWV photo stack.  The sun, crab and clam shell are from Our Craft Lounge.  The birds are a stampscape stamp.  The ribbon and brads ar from my stash.
I wish some cooler weather for everyone else and some warmer for me!  LOL
