Playing in the garden.

I have been lazy this summer and pretty much ignored my garden.  Thank goodness granny has kept up with it all!

Doesn't she rock!  Granny in her crocs and pedal pushers, bringing in the garden harvest!
This is the second granny image from Fresh Brewed Designs.  She was just released last week
and I couldn't wait to play with her and the wonderful sentiments that go along with her.
I previously played with Sun-bathing granny and this one
is just as good!  Heather really has out done herself with this design!
The card base is from SU.  The daisy paper is a digi.  The lime cardstock is dry embossed with a
CB folder and the brown cut out with an EK success border punch.
The orange background was some glossy white paper that I used Ranger alcohol inks on.
Granny is colored with copic markers and the sponging is with Memento inks.
The pearls are actually Liquid Pearls and both ribbons from Michaels.

This card may be entered in the following challenges:

Bubble bath - soap extra

It's time for a shaped card over on Fresh Brewed Designs.  Hopefully my easel card will fit the bill!
The image is 'Angel Cake Bubble Bath' from Fresh Brewed Designs.  Heather has a wonderful selection of both digi and rubber stamps to chose from.  The Angel Cake image used is from the recent new release.
Also, FBD has a sale going this month with savings on both there summer digis and their summer rubber!

Both sentiments are from Create with TLC.  Paulette cranks out amazing sentiments day in and day out.  Her site has multiple freebies every day!  She also has some great sets in her store.

The paper is from DCWV luxury stack, the coloring is copics and the sponging was done with Memento ink.
The flowers are homemade and the leaves are both Marianne  and Magnolia do-hickey die cuts.
There is lots of glossy accents on the bubbles.  The ribbon is from Michaels.  The bling is from my stash.

Frantic Friday (not really, LOL)

Hopefully Mr. Blogger is cooperating and this is posting first thing Friday AM!
While you poor folks are out there slaving away, I am relaxing along side the Chewaucan River,
just outside Paisley, OR on a camping trip.  I am seriously working on my tan and reading my kindle.

Now, for the reason I am posting,  Stephanie is pregnant!
She is one of  the nurses in our ER and this is her first.  She walked into the ER and stated "I have
a bun in the oven"!  I immediately (well, maybe not quite immediately) thought of the wonderful
digi that Heather from FBD sent me last month.

It's perfect!
The inside sentiment says 'A bun in the oven'
The inside sentiment and the main image are both from Fresh Brewed Designs
The outside sentiment is from Our Craft Lounge stamp set "Say it Big"
It is colored with copic markers.
The die cut is a Spellbinder.
The sponging is done with Memento Ink
The papers are PinkPaisley, the glitter dots are Recollections.
The ribbon is from my stash.  The oven handle is colored with Gelly Roll clear star,
and the dials have glossy accents on them.
This card may be entered in the following challenges:
Papertake Weekly:  Lets get cute
The Pixie Cottage:  Fun with Food

Magical Day....

Going to be off line this week.  Hopefully Mr. Blogger will cooperate and there will be postings on Wednesday and Friday (fingers crossed).

I have had this card finished for a bit.  It went to my friend Mindy for her birthday.  This
'pleasantly plump' fairy just made me think of her!

Makes me smitle every time that I look at her.  So much fun to color.
She is an image from Mo Manning.  The sentiment came from Create with TLC.
The die cut farthest under the sentiment is a Marianne.  The image and the immediate die cut under the sentiment is from Spellbinders.
The coloring is with copic markers.  The flower, the embossed DP and flat back pearls
are all from my stash.

Just another Frantic Friday!

(For those who notice, yes-I posted on the wrong date.  Oh well, early is better than late!  LOL)
It's Friday again and here I am,  posting my card for Fresh Brewed Designs.  This is going up as a pre-scheduled post through blogger (crossing my fingers that it works this week) since I have to work an extra 12 in the ER today.  (How exciting for me - read sarcasm here!  LOL)
Anyway, the image I used on my card here is one of my favorite from Heather at Fresh Brewed Designs.  She has an amazing assortment of digital images and rubber stamps.  Lots of them directly related to caffeine, like this one!
This card is posted on The Latte Lounge for a challenge.  Isn't is wonderful!
It is called 'Fresh Brewed Flowers' and you can find it here.
I printed and coloried the image several times, cut the flower box and the coffee blooms
out.  Using dimensionals, put on the flower box and flowers at a raised level.

I scored some white cardstock and rubbed it with my memento cocoa ink pad for the house siding.
I colored everything with copic markers.
Then, I added some stickles to the dots on the curtains and on the window box.
The ribbon is from Michaels.  I pleated it and then cut the sentiment out using a Spellbinder and
again used dimensionals to raise it also.
Whole thing was attached to a teal colored card and it's ready to go!
Go visit the FBD challenge blog and check out whats happening now.

It's all about the sparkle!

GingerLoft Challenges wants to see you shine!  Or, at least your project.
"Make it Sparkle"
This is a  nice, long, easy challenge so get your craft on.  Then add some glitter, some stickles or anything else that you have that sparkles and join on in.
We are taking a summer hiatus here at GingerLoft and won't be back until August 20th!  That means you can take your time and really put all the sparkle and shine you want into this project!

I did a center step card using Tami's image 'Star Gazer'
She is printed on copic express blend paper (love this stuff!) and colored with copic markers.
The card base is kraft covered in a pale blue mirror paper.  There is glitter on the star, moon and some of the background swoops (or whatever they are called!  LOL)
The fine line glittering in the hair andon the hat are done with a Gelly Roll clear star pen.  There are
Glossy Accents on the eyes and tears of the mask.
The fabric ribbon and the really cool paper ribbon (music strip) are a Kanban product.  I won a bunch of their products from 'Moving Along with the Times' in a challenge a couple weeks ago.
The bling along the right side is from Recollections and the die cut was made with a Spellbinders.

Isn't she awesome!  The papers are all from my scrap drawer, including the polka dot that I paper pieced on granny (my first attempt at paper piecing!)  The flourish (shape 1) is a Marianne die and the ovals (shape 2) are Spellbinders.  The flowers are handmade using fiskar punches.  The image is colored with copic markers and the sponging is done with memento inks.  Finished off with some ribbon and liquid pearls on the sentiment and in the centers of the flowers.

The main image is from GingerLoft Designs.  The sentiment is a John Wayne quote.  Fits perfectly with the image, doesn't it?!
The DPs are from Color Blok (pink paisley) and Creative Imaginations (cowboy boots).

Mocha Manic Monday

It's the first Monday of the month and it's Mocha Manic Monday time!  Go to the store at Fresh Brewed Designs and pick up Heather's freebie (only available today) and play with us!

Today she had a beautiful fairy out for a stroll.........
Isn't she beautiful!  She is colored with copics.  Glittered up with Stickles and a gelly roll clear star pen.  Perfect pearls for a necklace, some MS butterflies and ribbon from my stash.  The background paper is a digi that I printed in watermark to lighten it up. (If anyone knows who made it let me know in comments).
The ribbon came from a garage sale.  I scrunched it up on the wires and pulled the wire in the part I made into a bow.  Some sticky back rhinestones finished it off.

This card may be entered in the following challenges:
