Create with TLC

Create with TLC is having a DT call.  There are seriously wonderful sentiments, occassional digis and great digital color/patterned papers posted on this website.  Many are for free and many more are available to purchase in the store.  I am very sentiment challenged and go to Create with TLC all the time for just the right words.  They always seem to be there!  So, it was easy to create a card using one of their stamps for the call.
The hard part was choosing which one to use!  This is a TLC sentiment, a Bugaboo stamp, copic markers, inky dinky drops from Inky Impressions and my nesties.  Can't really see it but there are also SU dazzling diamonds on the soap bubbles.  The border punch is an EKsuccess punch.
I wanted to show some variety in the sentiments so I also completed a graduation card that I needed to do.
This card opens left to right and then again bottom to top.  The front image is from the graduation announcement.  The inside image is a Dustin Pike freebie.  The sentiment in the very inside is from Create with TLC.  The class motto and name card are both also from the school graduation announcement.  Copics, nesties, SU dazzling diamonds were all used in the creation of this card.

Our Craft Lounge (again!)

The friday sketch at Our Craft Lounge is once more posted.  Almost time for the monthly prize.  Remember to use their stamps to be eligible for the prize.

This image is from their stamp set "fishin with dad".  I won this during the recent blog hop to introduce the new stamps out for the summer.
This is done on white cardstock with lots of shading using momento inks.  There is wire from the pole to the fish and the the fish is embossed and raised on a pop dot for dimension.  The ribbon is from Michaels, the half pearls are colored with my copics.
Here is a pic to show the dimensions.

This really makes the fish 'pop'!

Friday Sketchers challenge

There is also a sketch at Friday Sketchers today.  A few layers and an image.  Simple....took me forever to come up with something!  LOL

Not sure how the hydrangeas fit in with a worm on a hook but the colors were good!  Besides using nesties, bazille cardstock and copics, everything else was out of my stash.  The image is a digital, not sure where it is from.  (Sorry, from before I was labeling all my digitals and I haven't found it again yet)
Don't you just love that border punch!  An EKsuccess punch I just got today.

Our Craft Lounge sketch

Today is the new sketch at Our Craft Lounge.  Play along and possibly win one of their stamp sets.

This image is from one of the new sets - Hangin' Loose with Kona.  Isn't he too cute!  The DP is from DCWV photo stack (2 I think).  The coloring is with copics.  The die cut is half of top note from SU.  The ribbon from Michael's, the crystal drops are called 'inky dinky drops'  from Inky Impressions.  I absolutely love them and use them all the time!  The papers on the die cut are from the 'Paper Patch'.
This card will also be submitted for the WhoopsiDaisy Challenge - anything goes.

OCL sketch challenge

This has been a really long week at work but I finally have some time to play.  There are some wonderful new stamp sets out by Our Craft Lounge.  I won one of the sets on their introduction blog hop! and have already bought two others.  Couldn't wait to take them out to play, but, those 12 hours shifts at work really wiped me out this week.  Oh well, playing in my craft room all day today!
This is a wonderful set of playful ants.  Almost makes ants at a picnic seem ok!
The card stock and background paper are in my scrap basket.
The image and sentiment are called 'Lifes a Picnic' from OCL.
The ribbon is from Michaels.
The glitter SU dazzling diamonds.
The string of pearls and half pearls from my stash.
Can't forget the embossing, Swiss Dots and my Bigshot!

National scrapbooking Day

Yesterday was National Scrapbooking Day.  I hope everyone had a great day.  I certainly did.  I spent 6 hours at Memories of Time in Coos Bay, OR.  While I worked on art work for cards rather than scrapbooking, I had a great time.
If you are in the area, Michelle has a great shop and is willing to find things for you if she doesn't carry them.  She also put on a great scrap.  It is something else to work in an area where, if you don't have it, you just get up, go get it and put your piece together.  No waiting until the next time that you go shopping!
I recently bought (yes, I don't only use freebies) some digital images from Bugaboo Stamps.  What a great set of images they have.  For those who haven't tried digital stamps yet, WOW.  No storage (other than your computer), make them any size that you want, print them as many times as you want and...there are hundreds on the internet for free and literally thousands and thousands for sale.  So, I spent my day getting these images and some others colored and/or onto cards.  Great, uninterrupted fun!
Since I am a nurse, a couple of these are near and dear to my heart!

All of the images are from Bugaboo Stamps, coloring with copics, inky dinky drops and SU dazzling diamonds are the bling.  There is some embossing with my bigshot, most edges are inked (I do dislike white edges, LOL) and most of the papers used are scraps from my basket as I really need to use some of these up!

I had a great time last night, also found out this am that won a sketch challenge over at

Never really thought I would get into fairies but this statmp set just speaks to me.
This card seemed to make itself.  The colors and image were made for each other.

Our Craft Lounge sketch challenge

Our Craft Lounge has posted their weekly sketch challenge.  Since I don't seem to have much mojo going right now, I fell back on a holiday card.  They seem to be the easiest for me to put together.  So......Happy Halloween everyone!

The stamp set is Spook-tacular from Our Craft Lounge.  The spiders are covered in black sparkly-fluff. The spider web is clear embossed.  The DP is DCWV photo stack and the card stock is from couture card stock.  I have used ribbon from Michaels and SU dazzling diamonds around the sentiment.  The center ribbon is simply layered paper with cut out and embossed candy corns.  On the DP, I have cut out extra candy corns and made them into embellishments.  Cut them out, cover with versa mark and dip in Ultra thick embossing enamel.  Heat to melt the enamel.  Dip again, reheat and repeat for a total of 5-6 times.  This gives a beautiful, 3-D embellishment to us on your card.  Everything is placed on the card with scor-tape or dimensionals.

Create with TLC

This is a 'just because' post.  I have been visiting a new site for me.  It is called 'Create with TLC'.  They do amazing word art.  They seem to be able to put into words all those things I think but just don't seem to be able to say.  Amazingly, there are daily freebies, sometimes several!  I am posting a card done with one of their word art frames.  So simple, says exactly what I wanted.
I am sorry that I don't know where I got the center image.  This was the perfect card fro my friend at work who does love her fancy shoes.  (Hers has heels that light up when she walks!)  They just make her 'HAPPY'.  Please visit TLC and check out their offerings, freebies or for sale.  They are really wonderful.

Prairie Fairy

The Prairie Fairy has put out a beautiful free digital image of a fairy with a daisy for the DT call they have ongoing.  Although I am new to this blogging thing, the image is to good not to play with.   Soooo, this is my submission.
The image is from Prairie Fairy, the moon and the word are from 'Graphically Speaking' a cricut cartridge.  The ribbon is from Michaels and SU dazzling diamonds are (ever) present.  :)  The background paper is from my scrap basket.  All of the coloring is using copics.  Enjoy my card and feel free to click on my blog header to go to my site and look at my other cards.  Also, go visit Prairie Fairy and check out some great stamps and try out for the DT.

Our craft lounge - April challenge

Our Craft Lounge is always in the midst of a monthly challenge.  There are new sketches posted every Friday, winners chosen at the end of each month.  Today is my take on this weeks sketch.
This card uses the image from Dandy Days and the sentiment from Say it Big.  The papers are all from my scrap box.  There is coloring with copics and SU dazzling diamonds.  The card is dark blue and the frame around the image is mirrored cardstock (both are hard to see in the photo).

Our Craft Lounge Challenge

Our Craft Lounge has another weekly sketch up and running.  Go to the site and check it out!  This weeks has lots of layers.  I managed to get one more card in for today and here it is:
The butterflies are from 'Natures Notes' from Our Craft Lounge.  All of the cardstock is mirror finish (very hard to photograph!) and most of it came from Couture Cardstock.  The ribbon is from Michaels, the glitter is dazzling diamonds from SU.  Copic markers for coloring the butterflies and the half pearls.  Lots of dimensionals, under the panels and to lift the edges of the butterfly wings, to give the card some character.
The mirror cardstock is fairly easy to work with and cuts very smoothly.  Just wouldn't want to have to photograph it very often!
Good Night

Multiple challenges, couple of cards!

What a rainy, stormy day it has been!  Hasn't let up all day and I have gotten to play in the craft room for almost all of it!  I have 2 cards that I did today that fit into several current challenges.  The first card is entered in challenges at:
Papertake Weekly:  Open theme
Cute Daisy Mae:  For the boys
Inky Impressions:  Recycle it
The images are all freebies from Dustin Pike's website!  Isn't it a great background!  Coloring is with copics.  SU dazzling diamonds on the hand drawn anchor.  The paper is from my scrap basket and the sentiment a random stamp in my drawer.  I just love the dragon stamps and Dustin puts lots of freebies on his website.  Check Here
My second card is for several challenges also.  They are:
Couture Cardstock:  Unusual color for me
Friday Sketchers:  sketch challenge
The Cuttlebug Spot:  Pink and green
This another digistamp from Dustin Pike's website. (a freebie!)  The bg paper is DCWV,  plain brown cardstock on kraft paper cs.  The ribbon is from Michael's, SU dazzling diamonds, flowers that I punched, generic rhinestones and coloring with my copics.  The sentiment is from SU.
Have had great frun today but means I probably won't get to play for a couple of days!  Oh well............

Easter is coming! Easter is coming!

This card is for 2 challenges:  Doodle Dragon Studio Challenge using one of Doodle Dragon  images and Couture Cardstock using a medium along with the cardstock.  This was a fun image to play with.  Gotta love a dragon getting into Easter!
